Monetary Authority of Macau: International assets of Macau banks reached 203.4 billion Macau patacas in March, increasing by 1.3% quarterly.
As of the end of March 2025, the total international assets and liabilities of the Bank of Macau have both increased compared to the previous quarter; its external business is mainly concentrated in the Asian region.
Statistics released by the Monetary Authority of Macao on May 19th showed that as of the end of March 2025, the total international assets and liabilities of Macao banks had increased compared to the previous quarter, with the majority of external business concentrated in the Asian region. Macao's international assets reached 203.4 billion Macao patacas, growing by 1.3% quarterly; international liabilities were 196.54 billion Macao patacas, growing by 0.8% quarterly. In terms of the distribution of external assets and liabilities, they are mainly concentrated in Mainland China and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Singapore, the Cayman Islands, and the United States.
