In response to the Hong Kong SAR government's promotion of the development of strategic emerging industries and to seize the development opportunities brought by low-altitude economy, Cyberport held a two-day (May 9-10) low-altitude economy exhibition, with the opening ceremony held on May 9. The exhibition featured 12 participating organizations showcasing innovative applications of low-altitude economy, with many of them selected for the Hong Kong SAR government's "low-altitude economy regulatory sandbox" pilot program. During his speech at the opening ceremony, Cyberport Chairman Dr. George Lam stated that low-altitude economy, as one of the national strategic emerging industries and new productive forces, has a wide range of applications. It can not only spawn a series of industries, but also drive breakthroughs in core technologies such as artificial intelligence and network security, injecting new momentum into Hong Kong's innovative technology industry. With the rapid development of low-altitude economy, a complete industry chain covering airspace management, machine maintenance, and professional talent training will be cultivated. Looking ahead, with the completion of Cyberport Phase V, the park will further improve the infrastructure for low-altitude economy, providing comprehensive support for industry development, helping enterprises seize innovative opportunities, and promoting high-quality economic development in Hong Kong.
