From May 1st to May 5th (Labor Day holiday period), the total number of people crossing regional boundaries in society was 146.594 million.
According to data from the Ministry of Transport, during the Labor Day holiday period from May 1st to 5th, the total number of people moving across regions in the whole society was 1.46594 billion, with an average of 293.19 million people per day, an increase of 7.9% compared to the same period last year. Among them, the number of railway passengers was 101.7 million, with an average of 20.34 million people per day, an increase of 10.8% year-on-year.
The total number of people moving across regions by road (including the non-commercial passenger travel volume on highways and ordinary national and provincial roads, as well as the commercial passenger transport volume on roads) was 1.34448 billion, with an average of 26.89 million people per day, an increase of 7.6% year-on-year. Among them, the number of non-commercial passenger travel on highways and ordinary national and provincial roads was 1.16293 billion, with an average of 23.259 million people per day, an increase of 8.1% over the same period in 2024. The commercial passenger transport volume on roads was 181.55 million, with an average of 3.631 million people per day, an increase of 4.4% year-on-year.
The waterway passenger volume was 8.61 million, with an average of 0.172 million people per day, an increase of 23.8% year-on-year.
The civil aviation passenger volume was 11.15 million, with an average of 0.223 million people per day, an increase of 11.8% year-on-year.
