On the news front, AIA announced that in the first quarter of 2025, the growth rate is listed based on a fixed exchange rate. New Business Value increased by 13% to 14.97 billion US dollars, annualized new premiums grew by 7% to 26.17 billion US dollars, the profit margin of New Business Value increased by 3.0 percentage points to 57.5%, the New Business Contractual Margin increased by 16%, the shareholder capital ratio remained strong, with a Solvency ratio exceeding 200%. It is worth noting that Morgan Stanley previously estimated that AIA's first-quarter New Business Value (at fixed exchange rates) would increase by 6.9%, mainly supported by a 7.3% increase in the average capital return rate (APE) and a flat gross margin at 54.2%. UBS, on the other hand, expects AIA's first-quarter New Business Value to increase by 8.5% annually at fixed exchange rates, with growth realized in all markets except mainland China.
