According to the memorandum, these products will no longer be subject to the additional country-specific tariff rates implemented under Executive Order 14257 (published on April 2, 2025). This measure will take effect from 12:01 am Eastern Time on April 5, 2025.

These 20 tariff exemption codes include categories such as laptops, smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, and other consumer electronics products, as well as TVs and products related to CECEP Solar Energy.
Additionally, CBP also reminded that a recent system update failure caused some goods to not correctly apply the 10% tariff, which has been fixed on the 11th. CBP requires businesses to resubmit affected customs summaries to maintain compliance and rights.
