Hong Kong Chief Executive reappoints members of the Remuneration Tribunal, Tang Jia-cheng reappointed as Chairman
The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has re-appointed Tang Ka Chai as the Chairman of the Independent Commission on Executive Council Members, Legislative Council Members and Political Appointees' Salaries and Allowances.
The spokesperson of the Hong Kong government announced today (March 7) that the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region has re-appointed Tang Jia-cheng as the Chairman of the Independent Commission on Executive Council Members, Legislative Council Members and Politically Appointed Officials' Salaries and Conditions of Service, and has re-appointed Tsai Wing-chung and Wong Tsz-son as members of the Independent Commission. The term of office will take effect from April 1, 2025, and will last for one year.
The Independent Commission provides advice to the government on matters related to the salary arrangements of Executive Council members, Legislative Council members, and politically appointed officials. The other members of the Independent Commission are Lin Si-ki, Tam Wan-chi, and Professor Wai Ping-kong.
