According to reports, Amazon.com, Inc. (AMZN.US) is building its own artificial intelligence model, including advanced reasoning capabilities. A person involved in the project said that the new product is expected to be launched under the Nova brand in June. Nova is a series of generative AI models introduced by Amazon.com, Inc. at the end of last year. Reasoning models are rapidly becoming a powerful tool in the artificial intelligence market, mainly used to solve complex problems. The report added that Amazon.com, Inc. hopes the new model will adopt a "hybrid reasoning" approach that can quickly provide answers and engage in more complex thinking within the same system. Amazon.com, Inc.'s potential new model may also compete with Anthropic, who has developed a hybrid artificial intelligence model called Claude 3.7 Sonnet, which includes reasoning capabilities and is considered the first "hybrid model" in the market. Anthropic has the support of Amazon.com, Inc. and Alphabet (GOOG.US). Amazon.com, Inc.'s new model will also compete with OpenAI, supported by Microsoft Corporation (MSFT.US). Insiders revealed that one of Amazon.com, Inc.'s primary goals is to make its Nova reasoning model more cost-effective compared to competitors including OpenAI's o1, Anthropic's Claude 3.7 Sonnet, and Alphabet Inc. Class C's Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking. About a month ago, Amazon.com, Inc. CEO Andy Jassy stated that the cost of reasoning in artificial intelligence will "significantly decrease", which is very positive for both Amazon.com, Inc.'s customers and business.
