Ministry of Commerce Spokesperson's Response to the Inclusion of 10 American Companies in the Unreliable Entity List
Question: This time, China has once again used the "Unreliable Entity List" to sanction 10 companies involved in arms sales to Taiwan. What are the considerations behind this decision?
In recent years, companies such as TCOM Limited Partnership and Stick Rudder Enterprises LLC have disregarded strong opposition from China and have either been involved in arms sales to Taiwan or engaged in so-called military technology cooperation with Taiwan, seriously undermining China's national sovereignty, security, and development interests. In accordance with the relevant laws such as the Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China, the National Security Law of the People's Republic of China, and the Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China, China, based on the provisions of the Unreliable Entity List, will hold them accountable for their unlawful acts.
China has always handled the Unreliable Entity List issue prudently, targeting only a few foreign entities that pose a threat to our national security. Honest and law-abiding foreign entities have nothing to worry about. The Chinese government continues to welcome businesses from around the world to invest and operate in China, and is committed to providing a stable, fair, and predictable business environment for foreign companies operating in China in compliance with the law.
