Dajin Heavy Industry (002487.SZ) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Penglai Dajin Ocean Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Penglai Dajin"), signed a supply contract with RWE Group for the Danish Thor offshore wind farm project in May 2023. Penglai Dajin will build and deliver 36 TP-less (no transition section) monopiles for the project, and will be responsible for transporting all monopile products to the specified location. The wind farm is located in the North Sea of Denmark, with a total installed capacity of 1GW, and will be able to supply green electricity to more than one million Danish households once completed, making it the largest offshore wind farm in Denmark to date.
Recently, the last batch of 10 monopiles for this project has successfully arrived at a port in Europe. With this delivery, Penglai Dajin has completed the delivery of all 36 monopiles built for the Danish Thor offshore wind farm project. This project is the company's first offshore wind power project in cooperation with RWE Group, and also the company's first overseas marine project with self-transportation. Dajin Heavy Industry is responsible for providing a one-stop service for the construction, sea transport, and delivery of monopile products, successfully upgrading the delivery mode from FOB (Free on Board) to DAP (Delivered at Place), fulfilling the commitment of "from the factory to the door".
The completion of the delivery of monopile products for this project will have a positive impact on the company's performance. Through the successful delivery of the first DAP project, the company has gained important experience in long-distance shipping management, and has helped the company to have a more solid overall competitiveness in the overseas offshore wind power market. The company's pending export pile foundation orders are all in DAP mode, and have entered the efficient production and shipping stage.
