The group's copper concentrate production increased in 2024, but this was offset by a decrease in the production of electrolytic copper, mainly due to the unstable electricity supply from the national power grid in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In 2024, the group produced 855 tons of cobalt (in terms of cobalt content in cobalt hydroxide), a decrease of approximately 61.3% compared to 2,207 tons in 2023. Due to the decline in ore grade and continuous drop in the market price of cobalt, the group adjusted its production plans to reduce cobalt production accordingly. Cobalt production was suspended from the end of May to August in 2024 to allocate more resources to electrolytic copper production. Cobalt production resumed in early September 2024. In 2024, the group sold 62,300 tons of copper from direct ore transport, electrolytic copper, and copper concentrate, an increase of approximately 4.6% compared to 59,500 tons in 2023, due to the increase in copper production. The group sold 1,438 tons of cobalt in 2024, a decrease of approximately 32.0% compared to 2,114 tons in 2023, due to the decrease in cobalt production. Additionally, the group actively reduced cobalt inventories in 2024.
