CHONGQING M&E (02722) announced that on February 26, 2025, the company received a notification from its controlling shareholder, CHONGQING M&E Group, that Yu Fu Holdings will inject RMB 5 billion into CHONGQING M&E Group in exchange for an increase in capital. The contribution will be made in both cash and non-cash forms. After the capital injection, Yu Fu Holdings will hold approximately 44.58% equity in CHONGQING M&E Group. In addition, the Chongqing State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission has agreed to transfer its 35.42% equity in CHONGQING M&E Group to Yu Fu Holdings for no consideration. After the internal restructuring is completed, Yu Fu Holdings will hold 80% equity in CHONGQING M&E Group, becoming the direct controlling shareholder of CHONGQING M&E Group and the indirect controlling shareholder of the company. CHONGQING M&E Group will remain the direct controlling shareholder of the company, and the Chongqing State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission will continue to be the ultimate controlling shareholder of the company.
