FLAT GLASS (06865) rose by over 4%, as of the latest report, it increased by 4.31% to 13.54 Hong Kong dollars, with a trading volume of 61.65 million Hong Kong dollars.
A report by Lyon Securities stated that the central government has disclosed new energy grid-connected electricity price market reform policies. In the long term, market-oriented electricity prices will result in lower internal rates of return for projects, leading to a slowdown in the growth of CECEP Solar Energy's installed capacity in the future. However, it is expected to promote more sustainable and stable industrial growth. In the short term, Lyon Securities believes that this policy will drive a wave of installations before June 1 this year.
Lyon Securities believes that strong short-term demand will drive a surge in production; a channel survey by the bank expects that module production planned for March this year may reach about 50 gigawatts, an increase of 25% compared to the previous month. Additionally, CECEP Solar Energy's glass inventory decreased by 5% after the Lunar New Year, and major component manufacturers are planning to increase module prices by 2 to 5 cents per watt. CECEP Solar Energy's glass and polysilicon are expected to benefit from the installation boom in the short term.
