Hong Kong Land Department: SHK PPT (00016) successfully bid for the Sha Tin land for 606 million Hong Kong dollars.

The Hong Kong Land Registry announced on January 27 that a piece of land located at Lot No. 651, Mei Tin Road, Tai Wai, Sha Tin, New Territories, was awarded to SHK PPT (00016) for 606 million Hong Kong dollars. The land price is 3,128 Hong Kong dollars per square foot, with a lease period of 50 years. On February 25, the Hong Kong Land Registry announced the bid amounts of unsuccessful bidders in an anonymous manner, ranking from highest to lowest as 5.818 billion Hong Kong dollars, 3.88 billion Hong Kong dollars, 3.51 billion Hong Kong dollars, 3.34 billion Hong Kong dollars, and 2.5 billion Hong Kong dollars. Records show that there were a total of 6 bids when the project closed, with developers other than SHK PPT including Cheung Kong Holdings (01113), SINO LAND (00083), KERRY PPT (00683), China Overseas Land & Investment (00688), and Henderson Land. It is reported that the land area of Lot No. 651, Mei Tin Road, Tai Wai, Sha Tin, is approximately 3,600 square meters, designated for private residential use. The minimum floor area is 10,800 square meters, while the maximum floor area can be up to 18,000 square meters.
