LEOCH INT'L (00842) rose more than 8% during trading, with a cumulative increase of nearly 60% for the month. As of the time of writing, it had risen 5.31% to HKD 2.38, with a trading volume of HKD 26.4133 million.
On the news front, on February 12, LEOCH INT'L announced that it had submitted a proposal to the Stock Exchange regarding a proposed spin-off and separate listing of Leoch Energy Inc. on a US stock exchange, which was approved by the Stock Exchange. FIRST SHANGHAI stated that LEOCH INT'L is China's largest exporter of lead-acid batteries and has a significant advantage in global operations. The company's main business includes standby batteries, automotive start-stop batteries, power batteries, and recycling business, with its product line covering over 100 countries and regions worldwide.
The bank pointed out that after the spin-off, LEOCH INT'L will focus on deepening its presence in the domestic market, while Leoch Energy Inc. will be responsible for expanding overseas operations, such as entering the North American market and expanding its lithium battery production line. Through this spin-off, LEOCH INT'L's domestic and international business management structures will be clearly delineated, its development path will be more defined, and it will be able to better address the needs of different markets, formulate targeted development strategies and recruitment plans, thereby efficiently advancing its business operations.
