ENVISION GREEN (01783) announces that on February 24, 2025, the company has signed a strategic framework agreement with Gotion High-tech to further cooperate in the following areas:
1. Battery recycling and after-sales service system
With the company's global network of over 60 service centers and Gotion High-tech's expected annual battery production capacity of approximately 300GWh, the company and Gotion High-tech will collaborate to establish a comprehensive system for lithium battery sales, after-sales service, and recycling. Gotion High-tech will provide technical support, personnel training, and assistance in setting up service stations, while the company will provide comprehensive after-sales support through its global service centers. The two parties plan to launch pilot cooperation projects in 10 service centers worldwide, and gradually expand cooperation to 100 service centers.
2. Global battery material trade center
The contracting parties will establish a global battery material trade center, with China Hong Kong and Singapore as the leading bases, to facilitate the international circulation and supply of batteries, components, and related equipment. The trade center will support global battery production, recycling, and remanufacturing to ensure the operation of a green supply chain.
3. Battery cascading utilization demonstration point
The contracting parties will set up a demonstration point for battery cascading utilization at the company's power battery disposal facility in the Hong Kong Environmental Park, showcasing progress in battery recycling, remanufacturing, and reuse. Gotion High-tech will provide technical support with its production capacity, while the company will provide production chain support and practical operational scenarios in the environmental park to promote sustainable development in the environmental industry.
4. Low-carbon research institute and battery passport system
Building on the previously established Guoxuan Jinjing Low-carbon Research Institute, the contracting parties will launch a pilot project for a fully closed battery project in Hong Kong, aiming to create a traceable life-cycle management system for batteries in Hong Kong. This system will cover aspects such as restricted substances, recycling, and labeling, extending to a comprehensive life cycle management system including carbon footprint, use of recycled materials, supply chain due diligence, and more.
Furthermore, the board of directors believes that the agreement between the company and Gotion High-tech will bring synergies in energy storage and green supply chain business, enabling them to jointly develop and promote solutions globally. The strategic goals of the collaboration are to accelerate the global transition to green energy, enhance global market service capabilities, and drive technological innovation and industry upgrades. The contracting parties aim to achieve a leading position in the battery recycling and green energy sectors through improvements in recycling systems, promoting cascading utilization, and expanding global service coverage.
