Dongfang Electronics (000682.SZ) announced that the company has agreed to establish a wholly-owned subsidiary through its fully-owned subsidiary, Yantai Dongfang Weissent Electric Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Weissent"), to purchase 165 mu of land and build a central industrial park with a total investment of 850 million yuan. The project is located across from the Weissent Industrial Park on Jindu Road, Laishan District, Yantai City, focusing on the company's industrial layout, supply chain expansion, and industrial incubation, constructing research institutes, technology centers, product testing and demonstration centers, employee dining rooms and reception centers, etc. The project is planned to have a construction period of about two years, with the goal of starting construction in March 2025, partially ready for use in July 2026, and completing the park construction in 2027. The announcement stated that the completion of the project can effectively solve the production and R&D site requirements needed for Weissent's development, further enhancing production capacity, improving Weissent's core competitiveness, and laying a foundation for the company's high-quality development.
