Building Department of Hong Kong: Approved a total of 14 sets of building plans and issued 29 occupancy permits for residential buildings involving 6,121 units in December last year.

The Hong Kong Buildings Department approved a total of 14 sets of building plans in December last year, including 3 in Hong Kong Island, 5 in Kowloon, and 6 in the New Territories. These approved plans include 3 residential and mixed-use developments, 4 commercial developments, 4 factory and industrial developments, and 3 community service developments.
There are 13 construction projects that have been granted approval to start, which will provide a total of 55,692 square meters of residential building floor area, involving 1,495 units; and 47,657 square meters of non-residential building floor area. In addition, the department also received a notice to start the superstructure works of one building project.
At the same time, the Buildings Department issued 29 occupation permits, including 8 in Hong Kong Island, 9 in Kowloon, and 12 in the New Territories. The residential building floor area of these units is 377,282 square meters, with a total of 6,121 units; while the non-residential building floor area is 81,787 square meters.
The total value of the newly completed buildings in December 2024 is approximately HK$20.2 billion.
