SUNNY OPTICAL (02382) announced that in January 2025, the shipment of mobile phone lenses was approximately 106 million units, an increase of 1.0% month-on-month and 2.6% year-on-year. The shipment of car lenses was approximately 12.827 million units, an increase of 102.0% month-on-month and 6.5% year-on-year. The shipment of mobile camera modules was approximately 36.765 million units, a decrease of 31.1% month-on-month and 40.9% year-on-year. The announcement stated that the increase in car lens shipments by 102.0% month-on-month was mainly due to the low base in December last year affected by the Christmas holiday. The 40.9% year-on-year decrease in mobile camera module shipments and the 31.1% month-on-month decrease were mainly due to the high base in January and December last year due to matching customer delivery requirements, as well as the impact of the Chinese New Year holiday in January this year.
