Under the intelligent vehicle strategy, BYD Company Limited has established the "Heavenly Eye" technology matrix, which includes three sets of technical solutions: Heavenly Eye A - advanced intelligent driving three-laser edition (DiPilot600), Heavenly Eye B - advanced intelligent driving laser edition (DiPilot300), and Heavenly Eye C - advanced intelligent driving three-camera edition (DiPilot100). Heavenly Eye A is primarily used in forward-looking applications, Heavenly Eye B is mainly used in Tang and the BYD Company Limited brand, while Heavenly Eye C is installed in the BYD Company Limited brand. It is reported that both Heavenly Eye A and B are solutions with laser radar, which will accelerate the penetration rate of laser radar. Industry insiders point out that for advanced intelligent driving, laser radar is an essential sensor, and at the conference, BYD Company Limited also showcased several models equipped with laser radar. BYD Company Limited's dazzling sales performance in 2024 has become the focus of the global automotive market. By 2025, publicly available information shows that BYD Company Limited's sales layout for 2025 is expected to exceed 5 million units, and the proportion of intelligent driving models equipped with DiPilot 100 or above is expected to increase from less than 5% to 80%. Industry insiders indicate that after reaching this target this year, the proportion of advanced intelligent driving models in the annual lineup will be about 40% to 50%, which translates to sales of about 2 to 2.5 million units out of 5 million units. The industry consensus is that with the full popularity of BYD Company Limited's "Heavenly Eye" intelligent driving, there will be a significant increase in demand for laser radar, which will be a major boost to the laser radar industry. In this trend, RoboSense (02498) may become the biggest beneficiary. As a global leading brand of laser radar, RoboSense reached a strategic investment agreement and a strategic cooperation framework agreement with BYD Company Limited as early as 2021. The latest institutional exchanges show that Speed Dragon accounts for 80% of the laser radars that BYD Company Limited's "Heavenly Eye" is equipped with. According to the latest plan from BYD Company Limited's conference, after all series are equipped with "Heavenly Eye" advanced intelligent driving, ROBOSENSE will cover almost all of BYD Company Limited's 200,000-level models, and the two parties will have more cooperation models to be launched in the future. Recently, the Giesche Automotive Research Institute released a ranking of laser radar suppliers' installation volume, showing that in the full year of 2024, the annual installation volume of laser radar surpassed 1.5 million for the first time, showing a vibrant growth trend in the industry. Among them, RoboSense ranked first with 515,000 units installed, and in 2024, it was the top-ranked player in the market share of in-vehicle laser radars.
