In January, the total sales volume of Geely Holding Group was 330,782 units, an increase of 14.8% year-on-year. Among them, the sales volume of new energy vehicles was 152,315 units, an increase of 59.5% year-on-year, with a new energy vehicle penetration rate of 46%. In the beginning of 2025, Geely Holding Group continued its steady growth trend and achieved a good start.
Geely Auto Holdings Limited (00175) achieved a sales volume of 266,737 units in January, an increase of about 25% year-on-year, reaching a new record high for monthly sales volume. The sales volume of new energy vehicles in January was 121,071 units, an increase of about 84% year-on-year, with the proportion of new energy vehicles exceeding 45%. Among them, Geely brand sales reached 224,718 units, an increase of over 30%; Geely Galaxy series sales reached 93,545 units, an increase of over 134%. It is worth noting that the new A-class electric hybrid SUV Galaxy Starship 7 EM-i sold 20,330 units in January, continuing to break the record for fastest delivery of A-class electric hybrid SUVs, showcasing the strong capabilities of Geely Galaxy as a "hit product manufacturing machine".
Lynk & Co brand achieved a sales volume of 30,077 units in January, an increase of about 7% year-on-year, with new energy vehicles accounting for about 52%. On January 3rd, the Lynk & Co flagship large high-end electric hybrid SUV Lynk 900 was unveiled for the first time. Based on the SPA Evo architecture, this vehicle will become a model of large luxury flagship electric hybrid SUVs.
Polestar brand delivered 11,942 units in January, with a global cumulative delivery of over 430,000 units. On January 9th, Polestar released its second hunting car model Polestar 007 GT, a new vehicle that combines luxury and performance, scheduled to be launched in the second quarter of this year.
In January, Geely Auto's overseas export sales reached 26,793 units, an increase of over 2% year-on-year. In terms of overseas channel development, Geely will add more than 300 sales and service outlets this year to further improve overseas channel coverage and after-sales support capabilities. At the same time, Geely will accelerate the promotion of KD manufacturing layout, promoting KD localization manufacturing in Indonesia, Vietnam, Central Asia, Africa, and other countries, effectively enhancing overall cost competitiveness.
Volvo Cars achieved a global sales volume of 50,820 units in January, with new energy vehicle sales reaching 22,398 units, an increase of about 17% year-on-year. Pure electric vehicle sales increased by 5% to 9,705 units, accounting for 19%; plug-in hybrid vehicle sales reached 12,693 units, an increase of 28%, showing continued acceleration in the brand's electrification process.
