Voyager Technologies Inc. is a company focused on developing commercial space stations, with plans for its space stations to be launched into orbit by Elon Musk's SpaceX giant interstellar spaceship. The company has officially started the IPO process. It has been reported that Voyager has submitted a registration statement draft to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, but the number of shares to be sold and the price range have not yet been determined. Voyager, formerly known as Voyager Space, is headquartered in Denver, USA. The company officially changed its name to Voyager Technologies Inc. on January 16, 2025, to better reflect its business focus on defense, national security, and space fields. A core business division of Voyager is developing a Low Earth Orbit space station called "Starlab." This project aims to fill the gap left by the retirement of the International Space Station (ISS) and is one of several commercial space station projects currently underway. In 2021, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) allocated $160 million to Voyager through its subsidiary Nanoracks for the development of Starlab, which is one of NASA's key initiatives in promoting the development of commercial space stations. In 2023, Voyager will introduce the European aerospace giant Airbus SE into the project, further strengthening its technological capabilities. Furthermore, Voyager has established partnerships with companies such as Palantir Technologies Inc., Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, and MDA Space. In January 2024, Voyager announced that it will use SpaceX's new generation interstellar spaceship (Starship) as the launch platform for Starlab. In the field of commercial space stations, Voyager is not the only participant. Other competitors include Blue Origin, supported by Jeff Bezos, Axiom Space headquartered in Houston, and Vast headquartered in Long Beach, California. These companies are all actively advancing their own commercial space station plans, demonstrating the fierce competition in the field.
