KECK SENG INV (00184) announced that on January 20, 2025, its indirect non-wholly owned subsidiary Ocean Place has signed and issued an acceptance letter to Sen Interior Decoration regarding the appointment of Sen Interior Decoration as the contractor for the interior design and renovation project for the hotel.
The announcement stated that after a comprehensive assessment of the development trajectory and prospects of the high-end market and luxury hotel market in Ho Chi Minh City center, the directors believe that the hotel should enhance its competitiveness by renovating and upgrading the lobby area, guest rooms and suites, and other service elements, based on its strong brand, extensive market convergence area, and high service standards. As the last renovation project was completed in 2009 and signs of aging have appeared in the Grand Theatre Hotel building, renovations will be carried out for the 120 guest rooms in the hotel building. The board of directors also believes that the renovation works under this transaction will help upgrade the hotel, raise the standard of the Sheraton brand, and bring additional hotel accommodation and other revenue to the hotel. Additionally, this rebranding is consistent with the hotel's renaming to the more upscale Saigon Grand Theatre Sheraton Hotel in April 2024.
