On Friday, the semiconductor sector rose, as of the time of writing, with American companies such as Advanced Micro Devices (AMD.US) and NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US) rising by more than 2.6%. ON Semiconductor Corporation (ON.US) and Marvell Technology, Inc. (MRVL.US) also rose by more than 2%, while Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., Ltd. Sponsored ADR (TSM.US) increased by more than 3.8%.
