New China Life Insurance (01336) is now up more than 4%, and at the time of writing, it has risen by 3.74% to HK$23.6, with a turnover of HK$3.74 billion.
On the news front, according to reports from The Paper, Wang Jianlin continues to sell assets under his name, while New China Life Insurance has not stopped its acquisition spree. On January 17th, information disclosed by Tianyancha showed changes in the shareholder lists of Anhui Wanda Plaza Investment Co., Ltd. and Tongling Wanda Plaza Investment Co., Ltd., with new controlling shareholder Kunhua (Tianjin) Equity Investment Partnership (Limited Partnership) replacing the original shareholder Dalian Wanda Commercial Management Group Co., Ltd. Currently, New China Life Insurance has taken over 11 Wanda Plazas.
It is worth noting that on December 4, 2024, New China Life Insurance's official website announced an announcement regarding the acquisition of Haitong H shares, marking the first time in nearly five years that an insurance company has acquired shares of a securities firm, and has made three additional purchases after the initial acquisition. In addition, on November 14, 2024, China National Medicines Corporation and Shanghai Pharmaceuticals Holding simultaneously announced that they had received increased holdings and been acquired by New China Life Insurance.
