In 2024, the national fixed asset investment (excluding rural households) was 51.4374 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.2% from the previous year (calculated on a comparable basis), of which private fixed asset investment was 25.7574 trillion yuan, a decrease of 0.1%.
According to the data from the National Bureau of Statistics, in 2024, the national fixed asset investment (excluding rural households) was 51.4374 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.2% from the previous year (calculated on a comparable basis), with private fixed asset investment of 25.7574 trillion yuan, a decrease of 0.1%. On a month-on-month basis, fixed asset investment (excluding rural households) in December increased by 0.33%.
By industry, investment in the primary sector was 954.3 billion yuan, an increase of 2.6% from the previous year; investment in the secondary sector was 1790.64 billion yuan, an increase of 12.0%; investment in the tertiary sector was 3257.67 billion yuan, a decrease of 1.1%.
In the secondary sector, industrial investment increased by 12.1% from the previous year. Specifically, investment in mining increased by 10.5%, manufacturing increased by 9.2%, and investment in electricity, heat, gas, and water production and supply increased by 23.9%.
In the tertiary sector, infrastructure investment (excluding electricity, heat, gas, and water production and supply) increased by 4.4% from the previous year. Specifically, investment in water management increased by 41.7%, investment in air transport increased by 20.7%, and investment in railway transport increased by 13.5%.
By region, investment in the eastern region increased by 1.3% from the previous year, investment in the central region increased by 5.0%, investment in the western region increased by 2.4%, and investment in the northeastern region increased by 4.2%.
By type of registration, domestic enterprise investment increased by 2.9% from the previous year, investment by Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan enterprises increased by 4.2%, and foreign enterprise investment decreased by 10.0%.
