According to data from the State Post Bureau, it is estimated that the development index of China's express delivery industry in December 2024 will be 469.8, a year-on-year increase of 17.2%. The development scale index, service quality index, and development capability index are 636.2, 649.4, and 256.6 respectively, with year-on-year increases of 28.4%, 15.6%, and 1.2%. The development trend index is 71.1. In December, the express delivery industry continued to develop well, with market scale growing rapidly, service quality improving, strong international market expansion, and exceeding the 2024 development goals. On the other hand, there is steady enhancement of technological empowerment. Express delivery companies continue to increase investment in technology research and development, enriching new technology applications such as drones and unmanned vehicles, promoting industry digital transformation and smart upgrades. Establishing the "Air-Ground Integrated Logistics Equipment Intelligent Operation Innovation Joint Laboratory" to explore scene applications of air-ground integration smart distribution. By using a combination of unmanned vehicles and drones for joint transportation, they ensure that oranges are delivered from the Three Gorges reservoir area to city consumers within 24 hours.
