Jl Mag Rare-Earth (06680) rose nearly 3%, rising 2.87% at the time of publication to HK$8.96, with a turnover of HK$59.736 million. On the news front, Sinolink stated that rare earth, as an advantage industry with wide downstream applications and global leadership in pricing in China, is expected to attract more attention in the context of the change of government in the United States. It reiterated the upside potential of the rare earth sector stocks and the value re-evaluation brought by the "national weapon" status combined with the policy catalysis of "similar supply reform". The magnetic material sector benefits from Siasun Robot & Automation and the strong growth of the low-altitude economy. It is recommended to pay attention to Jl Mag Rare-Earth (high-end magnetic material leader, layout of Siasun Robot & Automation) and other related stocks. Inner Mongolia BaoTou Steel Union previously announced that based on the calculation formula and the market price of rare earth oxide in the fourth quarter of 2024, the company plans to adjust the related transaction price of rare earth concentrate for the first quarter of 2025 to a tax-free price of 18,618 yuan/ton (dry basis, REO=50%). For each increase or decrease of 1% in REO, the tax-free price will increase or decrease by 372.36 yuan/ton. Compared to the fourth quarter of 2024, where the price of rare earth concentrate was 17,782 yuan/ton, an increase of 836 yuan/ton, representing a 4.7% increase. After China Northern Rare Earth announced the plan to cancel the listing price, the quarterly related transaction price adjustment of rare earth concentrate between them and Inner Mongolia BaoTou Steel Union has become an industry indicator. Guotai Junan Securities believes that 2025 may herald another great year for rare earth magnetic materials growth.
