Sensor Tower's latest data on store intelligence platform shows that in early December, miHoYo's "Honkai: Star Rail" welcomed a new 2.7 version "Setting Sail on the Eighth Day," with the debut of new characters "Sunday" and "Forgetful Person," and the opening of the "Cosmic Home Decoration Guide" gameplay, leading to a doubling of overseas revenue for the game in December and rising 5 spots to 5th place on the revenue chart.
At the same time, with the release of the second half of the 5.2 version featuring reprinted characters "Nightingale" and "Zhongli," and the release of the 5.3 version "The Soaring Resurgent Poetry," "Genshin Impact" saw a 27% increase in overseas revenue for the current period, holding steady at 6th place on the revenue chart. In mid-December, the update of the 1.4 version "Starlit Astrologos" drove a significant 80% increase in overseas revenue for "Arknights," jumping to 7th place on the revenue chart. The overall revenue of miHoYo's various popular mobile games increased, leading to a significant 77% increase in global revenue for the company.
On December 24th, Dotdot Interactive released a Christmas event for "Whiteout Survival" in 2024, including a new mini-game "Jolly Marble" and Christmas-themed rewards, providing players with a fun Christmas adventure. Overseas revenue for the game increased by 13% in December, reaching a historic high. As of January 10, 2025, "Whiteout Survival" has surpassed $1.8 billion in global cumulative revenue, with overseas revenue accounting for 88%.
The 3D role-playing strategy game "Girl's Frontline 2: Banishing," developed by Scattershot Network and published in the Japanese and Korean markets by HaoPlay, went live globally in December, debuting at 8th place on the revenue chart and topping the growth chart. The game continues the world view of its predecessor, "Girl's Frontline," and has undergone a comprehensive upgrade in art style, strategic gameplay, and narrative depth. It quickly rose to second place in the App Store in Japan and Google Play in South Korea and the US on its launch day, with an average rating of 4.8 in the US, Japan, and Korean markets, demonstrating significant market potential. As of January 10, 2025, "Girl's Frontline 2: Banishing" has generated $33 million in overseas revenue, with Japan, Korea, and the US contributing 33%, 30%, and 21% of the total overseas revenue, respectively.
With its dark apocalyptic survival theme and a blend of management and construction of strategic gameplay, "Dark War Survival" has seen continued rapid revenue growth since its launch in May 2024, with a 71% surge in December, advancing 10 spots to 15th place on the revenue chart.
Also entering the revenue chart for the first time is the naval roguelike action shooting mobile game "Archero 2" from Haibei. Thanks to the market appeal of its predecessor, "Archery Legends," and the comprehensive upgrades in gameplay, visuals, and content in the new game, overseas revenue for the game in December reached 2.3 times that of November, placing it at 17th place on the revenue chart and making it the top-growing mobile game in the Chinese, Taiwanese, Hong Kong, and Macau markets in December. With the game's launch in more overseas markets such as the US and Japan, its revenue is expected to continue to grow.

With the launch of Christmas-themed activities, Lemon Mobile's two synthetic mobile games, "Gossip Harbor" and "Seaside Escape," saw revenue growth of 33% and 14% respectively in December, ranking 1st and 3rd on the global synthetic mobile game revenue chart. In the global puzzle game market, "Gossip Harbor" entered the top 5 revenue chart for the first time, ranking 4th in the overseas mobile game revenue chart and 5th in the growth chart.
The healing adventure idle team mobile game "Set Out, Muffin" from Xindong Network officially landed in North America, Southeast Asia, and other markets this month. The warm adventure storyline combined with cute hand-drawn cartoon style, and easy collection, development, decoration, and social gameplay has quickly increased revenue in new markets in December, jumping to 10th place on the growth chart and re-entering the top 30 revenue chart.

A brand-new next-generation dress-up and development mobile game, "Infinite Warmth," from Folded Paper Network was released in early December. This game continues Folded Paper's deep accumulation in the female-oriented mobile game field, with a core gameplay of high freedom dress-up and exquisite 3D visual presentation, while integrating open-world exploration and immersive storyline experience. On its launch day, it took the top spot on the iOS download charts in China and Japan and second place in the US iOS mobile game download chart, entering the 11th place in the growth chart. Thanks to the outstanding performance of flagship products such as "Love and Deep Space" and "Infinite Warmth," Folded Paper Network saw a 75% increase in global revenue in December, reaching a historic high and generating revenue 7.6 times that of 2023.
In late November, NetEase's open-world martial arts MMORPG mobile game "Revelation of the Other Shore" officially launched in the Chinese, Taiwanese, and Hong Kong markets, topping the App Store and Google Play download charts for several days, becoming the 2nd fastest-growing mobile game in revenue in the Chinese, Taiwanese, and Hong Kong markets in December, entering the growth chart at 14th place in its first month of international release.
Also entering the growth chart for the first time are the girl group simulation management SLG game "Top Girl" and the dark fantasy MMORPG game "Abyss: Destiny" from DiZhi.Significant growth in Indonesia.Tencent's (00700) "PUBG MOBILE" overseas downloads in December remain stable, ranking second on the download list.
