The Hong Kong Stock Exchange (00388) appoints Yu Xueqin and Lin Jirong as Managing Directors and Co-Heads.

The Hong Kong Stock Exchange (00388) announced today (January 10) the appointment of Yu Xueqin as Managing Director and Market Head, as well as the appointment of Lin Jirong as Managing Director and Strategic Project Head. In his new role, Yu Xueqin will lead the Market Division of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, driving the vibrant development of the stock, derivative products, fixed income, and currency markets of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, further enhancing Hong Kong's position as a leading global capital market. Yu Xueqin will take office in March, reporting to the Group's CEO, Charles Li, and joining the Group's Management Committee. Prior to this, he has served at JPMorgan Chase for over 18 years. Charles Li, CEO of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Group, said: "I warmly welcome Yu Xueqin to join the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. With over 25 years of capital market and financial services experience spanning the US, Hong Kong, and mainland China markets, he brings valuable expertise that will be an important asset to the leadership team of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange." Lin Jirong will take office on January 13. With over 25 years of experience in corporate finance, he will be responsible for leading the Group's key strategic projects in corporate and operations and closely collaborating with operations, market, group strategy, and platform and market structure development departments. Lin Jirong will report to the COO and Group CFO of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Laura Cha. Charles Li said: "I warmly welcome Lin Jirong to join the Hong Kong Stock Exchange family.
