Synopsys, Inc. (SNPS.US) responds to the UK CMA's preliminary acceptance in the first stage of its proposed acquisition of Ansys by proposing alternative measures.
NewSonic Technology partners with Ansys to provide a comprehensive system design solution that integrates electronic design automation (EDA) with simulation and analysis (S&A) software.
On January 8th, Pacific Time, Synopsys, Inc. (SNPS.US) issued the following statement regarding the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) in the UK's preliminary acceptance of their proposed alternative measures in the first stage:
"We are pleased that today CMA has preliminarily accepted our proposed alternative measures in the first stage, and the transaction does not need to enter into a second-stage review. As CMA completes its approval process, we will continue to maintain constructive and cooperative communication with them. Customers continue to express their welcome and support for the transaction. By partnering with Ansys, Synopsys, Inc. can provide system design solutions with deep integration of electronic design automation (EDA) and simulation analysis (S&A) software, meeting the growing demand for such solutions from customers and driving innovation in various fields. We still expect the transaction to be completed in the first half of 2025."
