Lyft (LYFT.US) out! Uber Technologies, Inc. (UBER.US) becomes the newest partner of Delta Air Lines, Inc. (DAL.US) SkyMiles program.

Delta Air Lines, Inc. (DAL.US) will be linking its SkyMiles frequent flyer program with Uber Technologies, Inc. (UBER.US) this spring, while the airline will terminate its existing partnership with Lyft (LYFT.US) in April.
Under the new partnership, SkyMiles members can earn 1 mile for every $1 spent on Uber Technologies, Inc. Eats orders, 1 mile for every $1 spent on Uber Technologies, Inc. UberX airport rides, 2 miles for every $1 spent on Uber Technologies, Inc. premium rides, and 3 miles for every $1 spent on Uber Technologies, Inc. Reserve trips.
Uber Technologies, Inc. CEO Dara Khosrowshahi stated in a release, "With 15% of Uber Technologies, Inc. rides starting or ending at an airport, we know customers can accumulate miles with Delta Air Lines, Inc. with just a tap of a button."
Delta Air Lines, Inc. CEO Ed Bastian said, "This partnership will create more choices for passengers, allowing them to reach their destinations in the way that suits them best."
As of April 7, customers can still earn miles through Lyft ride services. A spokesperson for Delta Air Lines, Inc. stated, "Customers with linked accounts will receive direct communication from Delta Air Lines, Inc. and Lyft regarding the transition in the coming days."
Delta Air Lines, Inc. is also launching its AI digital tool, Delta Concierge, which will be added to its Fly Delta app this year. The tool will also be connected to Joby's (JOBY.US) electric air taxi service, which is expected to begin operations in Delta Air Lines, Inc.'s New York and Los Angeles hubs in the coming years, pending regulatory approval.
