Citigroup: Raised MAOYAN ENT (01896) target price to HK$9.2, rated "buy"

Citi released a research report stating that the target price of MAOYAN ENT (01896) has been raised by 2.2% from HK$9 to HK$9.2, making it the preferred stock in the film industry, with a rating of "buy". The company's revenue forecast for 2025 to 2026 has been adjusted upwards by 2% to 3%; adjusted net profit has been raised by 5% to 9%.
The bank indicated that the company's worst time may have passed, as the largest movie ticket platform is expected to benefit from better movie supply this year, and the company still has a rich lineup of movies to offer. The next catalyst will be the Chinese New Year holiday season. The bank predicts that the total mainland box office revenue in 2025 will reach 50 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 18%.
