On Tuesday, Beijing time, NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US) CEO Huang Renxun delivered a keynote speech at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), also known as the "Tech Spring Festival." He unveiled a series of new products, including a new GeForce graphics processor (GPU) for gaming computers, which features the same Blackwell design as NVIDIA Corporation's artificial intelligence (AI) accelerator. NVIDIA Corporation was originally known for manufacturing gaming graphics cards. However, these products now pale in comparison to their accelerator chips for data centers. Nevertheless, gamers still eagerly want machines equipped with GeForce, with this department generating annual revenues of about $10 billion. NVIDIA Corporation stated that the new GeForce 50 series graphics cards based on Blackwell will create a more realistic experience for computer gamers. Traditional graphics chips build images by calculating the shadows of each pixel in the image, while the new technology relies more on artificial intelligence to predict the next frame image. Huang Renxun said in his speech, "GeForce has brought artificial intelligence to the masses, and now artificial intelligence has returned to GeForce." NVIDIA Corporation also mentioned that laptops using these chips will have longer battery life. Additionally, high-performance desktop users will not have to compromise between a more responsive gaming experience and a more realistic gaming experience. The flagship RTX 5090 model will be released later this month at a price of $1999, followed by lower-performing graphics cards. The RTX 5070, priced at $549, will be released in February, offering better performance than the previous flagship model RTX 4090. In 2022, gaming remains NVIDIA Corporation's largest source of revenue. Now, the company's data center business is much larger. The data center business is expected to contribute over $100 billion this year. Several new products were announced Huang Renxun also revealed more information during his speech. He mentioned that NVIDIA Corporation has various systems like NBLink 36x2 and NBLink 72x1, which can meet the needs of almost all data centers worldwide and are currently being produced in around 45 factories. Huang Renxun mentioned that Blackwell has achieved a fourfold improvement in performance compared to the previous generation. NVIDIA Corporation's goal is to create a giant chip named Grace Blackwell NVLink72, which will use 72 Blackwell GPUs or 144 chips, surpassing the capability of the world's fastest supercomputer. The fundamental purpose of creating NVLink is to develop agent-based artificial intelligence. Huang Renxun said that the marvel of the Blackwell system lies in its unprecedented scale, as the Blackwell chip is the largest single chip in human history; the ultimate goal of this system is to enhance our capabilities and experiences in technology and innovation. Huang Renxun also introduced NVIDIA Cosmos, a basic model aimed at understanding the real world. This model can take prompts in the form of text, images, or videos and generate virtual world states as a unique video output for autonomous driving and Siasun Robot & Automation applications. Huang Renxun announced that NVIDIA Corporation will collaborate with Toyota Motor Corp. Sponsored ADR to develop the next generation of autonomous driving cars, with NVIDIA Corporation's automotive business expanding to $5 billion in the 2026 fiscal year. He stated that this field is a market that could reach trillions of dollars. Huang Renxun mentioned that Drive OS has become the first certified programmable artificial intelligence computing function safety software, meeting the highest automotive safety standard ASIL-D. Huang Renxun also announced the manufacturers NVIDIA Corporation is collaborating with in the automotive field, including Chinese car manufacturers such as BYD Company Limited, Idee, Xiaomi, and Jike. Huang Renxun teased that NVIDIA Corporation is developing the world's smallest AI supercomputer. He mentioned a project named "Project Digits," which features NVIDIA Corporation's super chip GB10.
