Yunnan Luoping Zinc&Electricity (002114.SZ) issued an announcement stating that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Derong Mining Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Derong Mining"), received a notice from the Natural Resources Bureau of Puding County on December 25, 2024, ordering the cessation of mining activities. This is because the mining permit for the Jinpo lead-zinc mine owned by Derong Mining (license number: C5200002012123220128312) expired on December 25, 2024. In accordance with the regulations of the "Guizhou Mineral Resources Supervision Inspection Measures" and the "Regulations on Mineral Resources Mining Registration Management," Derong Mining's Jinpo lead-zinc mine is required to stop all mining activities until it obtains a legal and valid mining permit.
The Jinpo lead-zinc mine of Derong Mining will suspend production from December 26, 2024, in compliance with regulatory requirements. During this production suspension period, Derong Mining will conduct maintenance and repairs on the mine, while also strengthening safety supervision measures at the operation site.
As of December 25, 2024, the Jinpo lead-zinc mine of Derong Mining produced a total of 196,500 tons of ore in 2024. This production suspension will reduce the output of ore, subsequently decreasing the supply of zinc concentrate. The specific impact on quantity and amount will be confirmed after actual resumption of production.
