Investment bank Wedbush believes that by 2025, Palantir (PLTR.US) and Salesforce, Inc. (CRM.US) are likely to be among the first software companies to monetize artificial intelligence applications. By 2025, corporate spending on artificial intelligence is expected to account for a larger share of IT budgets. Wedbush analysts, led by Daniel Ives, stated in a report, "Palantir is a major focus during the artificial intelligence revolution, with its main products expanding use cases and forming a larger partner ecosystem, as the industry's demand for enterprise-generative artificial intelligence rapidly rises." The analysts added, "We believe that in the next decade, Palantir is poised to become the next Oracle Corporation (ORCL.US), with its artificial intelligence platform Palantir AIP (Application Integration Platform) leading the way." However, many analysts on Wall Street remain skeptical about Palantir's prospects. Analyst Julian Lin from the investment team Best Of Breed Growth Stocks has even recently given Palantir a "strong sell" rating. Julian Lin's concern is Palantir's valuation. He said, "Palantir's price-to-sales ratio is 65 times, the highest among its growth stock peers." "Despite strong revenue growth and profitability, even in the most optimistic scenario, Palantir's stock valuation is unsustainable." At the same time, Wedbush also believes that Salesforce, Inc. will leverage the advantage of monetizing artificial intelligence with its Agentforce product by 2025. Daniel Ives stated that Salesforce, Inc.'s stock price may rise by $80 in the next 12 to 18 months. He added, "In order to accelerate the path to building the next generation of AI agents based on customer data, to lower costs and increase enterprise automation, Agentforce 2.0 is seeking to enable AI to perform advanced operations for humans and to embed a higher level of trust within the agents, paving the way for a new era of digital labor."
