Xinjiang Lixin Energy (001258.SZ) announced that its indirect controlling shareholder, Xinjiang Energy (Group) Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Energy Group"), plans to merge with Xinjiang New Energy (Group) Co., Ltd. (referred to as "New Energy Group"), a direct controlling shareholder of the company. The merger will result in a change of the company's controlling shareholder from New Energy Group to Energy Group. New Energy Group is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Energy Group, so this equity change will not result in a change of the actual controller of the company, which remains the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region People's Government.
