The China Passenger Car Association, in collaboration with Shanghai Folan Automotive Technology Co., Ltd., released the Passenger Car Market Product Competitiveness Index for November 2024. Based on January 2019 as the base period, the overall Passenger Car Market Product Competitiveness Index for November 2024 was 86.8, a decrease of 3.5 points compared to the previous month. Looking at the three major sub-markets, the SUV and MPV market both saw a decrease of 3.4 and 2.6 points respectively, while the sedan market saw an increase of 0.5 points. In November 2024, the wholesale volume of passenger cars reached 2.94 million units, increasing year-on-year and month-on-month, reaching a new high for each month in history. The car market in this month continued the relatively high prosperity of the previous month, with the continued release of the effects of the scrappage and replacement policies stabilizing the market. Additionally, various car companies leveraged promotions during "Double Eleven" and the Guangzhou Auto Show to increase consumer attention, leading to a 1.5-point increase in overall market heat compared to the previous month. Overall, the overall market product competitiveness index decreased by 3.5 points from the previous month. In November 2024, the sedan market product competitiveness index was 86.8, with an increase of 0.5 points compared to the previous month. The user reputation, market heat, and product evaluation indicators all increased compared to the previous month, with increases of 4.0, 0.9, and 0.7 points respectively, while the price intensity indicator decreased by 3.1 points compared to the previous month.
