American Airlines Group Inc. (AAL.US) stated that all flights were experiencing technical issues, leading to operational disruptions on one of the busiest travel days of the year.
In a statement on their X platform, the airline said, "Your safety is our top priority, and once this issue is resolved, we will get you to your destination safely." However, no further details about the nature of the problem were provided.
According to some online posts, the airline experienced a software malfunction that prevented the calculation of flight weight and balance requirements. The airline stated in another post that repairs were underway, with no estimated time for resolution yet available.
The Federal Aviation Administration stated in an advisory that the airline had grounded all flights nationwide.
