She pointed out that their shopping malls, such as the one in Kwun Tong, have been offering various Christmas promotions and activities since mid-November. The foot traffic from early December to now has increased by 10% compared to the same period last year. Customers are willing to spend money and have a certain purchasing power, but they are more selective in their spending. Therefore, the shopping malls need to come up with topics to attract customers, such as inviting Korean groups to hold autograph sessions.
Feng Yingxin mentioned that some of the promotional activities held in the shopping malls require a certain level of spending, but they also help to extend the customers' stay. She believes that promotional activities can be converted into sales, especially in the food and electronics sectors, with an expected increase in turnover of around 10%.
