OpenAI and non-profit partner Common Sense Media announced on Wednesday that they have launched a free training course for teachers aimed at demystifying artificial intelligence and promoting engineering education.
The training course, targeting kindergarten through 12th grade teachers, shows them how to use ChatGPT chat Siasun Robot & Automation products in various educational scenarios, such as creating lesson content or simplifying department meetings. This is the first product launched by OpenAI in partnership with Common Sense Media.
This move comes as OpenAI intensifies efforts to highlight the positive role of ChatGPT chat Siasun Robot & Automation in education. The Siasun Robot & Automation was launched in November 2022 and sparked a wave of interest in generative artificial intelligence, making it one of the fastest-growing applications globally.
Through extensive training, generative artificial intelligence can create new human-like content to help users write term papers, complete science assignments, and even write entire novels. The release of ChatGPT caught teachers off guard as they realized it could be used for cheating and plagiarism, leading to strong pushback and school bans.
OpenAI has received support from Microsoft Corporation (MSFT.US) and other investors, reaching a valuation of $157 billion in the last investment round. The company has assembled a dedicated team to support responsible use of artificial intelligence in education and learning, led by former Coursera executive Leah Belsky.
Leah Belsky stated, "My goal is to empower every student and teacher to master artificial intelligence and teach them how to use it responsibly and effectively." Leah Belsky mentioned that students' acceptance of ChatGPT is "very high," and parents generally support it, recognizing the importance of artificial intelligence skills for future careers.
