The National Bureau of Statistics stated in a document that in October, the value added of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 5.3% year-on-year (the growth rate of value added is the actual growth rate excluding price factors).
On November 15th, the National Bureau of Statistics stated that in October, the value added of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 5.3% year-on-year (the growth rate of value added is the actual growth rate after deducting price factors). In terms of month-on-month comparison, the value added of industrial enterprises above designated size in October increased by 0.41% compared to the previous month. From January to October, the value added of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 5.8% year-on-year.
Looking at three major categories, in October, the value added of mining industry increased by 4.6% year-on-year, manufacturing industry increased by 5.4%, and electricity, heat, gas and water production and supply industry increased by 5.4%.
In terms of economic types, in October, the value added of state-controlled enterprises increased by 3.8% year-on-year; that of joint-stock enterprises increased by 5.9%, foreign-invested enterprises from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan increased by 2.9%; and private enterprises increased by 4.8%.
In terms of industries, in October, out of 41 large industrial categories, 35 industries maintained year-on-year growth in value added. Among them, coal mining and washing industry grew by 4.5%, petroleum and natural gas extraction industry grew by 5.8%, agricultural and sideline food processing industry grew by 1.3%, wine, beverage and refined tea manufacturing industry grew by 3.0%, textile industry grew by 3.8%, chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry grew by 6.9%, non-metallic mineral products industry decreased by 2.6%, black metal smelting and rolling processing industry grew by 4.0%, non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry grew by 7.7%, general equipment manufacturing industry grew by 2.4%, special equipment manufacturing industry grew by 3.0%, automobile manufacturing industry grew by 6.2%, railway, ship, aerospace and other transportation equipment manufacturing industry grew by 4.4%, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry grew by 5.1%, computer, communication and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry grew by 10.5%, and electricity, heat production and supply industry grew by 5.5%.
In terms of products, in October, out of 619 products from industrial enterprises above designated size, 343 products saw an increase in output compared to the same period last year. Among them, steel output was 119.41 million tons, an increase of 3.5% year-on-year; cement output was 174.98 million tons, a decrease of 7.9%; production of ten kinds of non-ferrous metals was 6.69 million tons, an increase of 0.6%; ethylene output was 2.73 million tons, a decrease of 5.5%; automobile output was 29.54 million vehicles, an increase of 4.8%, of which new energy vehicles were 14.28 million vehicles, an increase of 48.6%; electricity generation was 731 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 2.1%; crude oil processing volume was 59.54 million tons, a decrease of 4.6%.
In October, the sales rate of industrial enterprises above designated size was 97.3%, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points year-on-year; the export delivery value of industrial enterprises above designated size was 1.3438 trillion yuan, a nominal increase of 3.7% year-on-year.
