Macau: The preliminary total amount of foreign exchange reserves as of the end of October is 228.7 billion Macau Patacas.
At the end of October 2024, the total amount of foreign exchange assets is roughly equivalent to 11 times the circulation currency in Macau at the end of September 2024, or 88.9% of the Macau yuan portion of the broad money supply (M2).
On November 14, the Monetary Authority of Macau announced that the total foreign exchange reserves of the Macao Special Administrative Region as of the end of October 2024 were preliminarily estimated to be MOP 228.7 billion (USD 28.6 billion), down 0.8% from the revised total of MOP 230.6 billion (USD 28.1 billion) in September 2024. The total foreign exchange reserves at the end of October 2024 were approximately equivalent to 11 times the Macao currency in circulation at the end of September 2024 or 88.9% of the Macau pataca portion in the broad money supply (M2) in September 2024.
