This is the sixth time this year! Tesla, Inc. (TSLA.US) is recalling 2,431 Cybertrucks in the United States.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration disclosed on November 13th that due to a fault in the drive inverter that could cause the wheels to lose driving force, Tesla (TSLA.US) will recall some 2024 Cybertruck vehicles.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) revealed on November 13 that due to a potential drive inverter failure that could cause the wheels to lose drive, Tesla, Inc. (TSLA.US) will recall a total of 2,431 units of the 2024 model Cybertruck.
This recall involves certain 2024 Cybertruck vehicles produced between November 6, 2023, and July 30, 2024, which are equipped with or have been equipped with metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistors in the drive inverter.
NHTSA stated that if the inverter stops generating torque, the driver will lose the ability to apply torque to the vehicle using the accelerator pedal, resulting in loss of propulsion, which could increase the risk of a collision.
Starting on December 9 or shortly thereafter, Tesla, Inc. will replace the recalled drive inverters for customers free of charge, with the replacement inverters equipped with properly functioning MOSFET components.
Prior to this, Tesla, Inc.'s Cybertruck vehicles have had five separate recall campaigns earlier this year.
