China Railway News, the railway National Day Golden Week transportation will start from September 29th and end on October 8th, lasting for 10 days. The national railway is expected to transport 175 million passengers, with October 1st being the peak day, expected to exceed 21 million passengers. This year's National Day Golden Week will see a blend of tourism, visiting relatives, and student flows, with railway passenger flow expected to remain high, showing the characteristics of "long-distance at the beginning and end, and medium and short-distance in the middle", with high passenger concentration in some periods and sections.
According to the pre-sale situation on the railway's official website, popular departure cities during the National Day Golden Week transportation period include Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan, Hangzhou, Xi'an, Shenzhen, Nanjing, and Changsha; popular destination cities include Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Hangzhou, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Xi'an, Nanjing, and Changsha. Passenger flow is relatively concentrated on certain routes, such as Chengdu to Xi'an, Beijing to Shanghai, Guangzhou to Nanning, Guangzhou to Zhanjiang, Beijing to Hohhot, Beijing to Shenyang, Guangzhou to Changsha, Guangzhou to Shantou, Beijing to Taiyuan, and Shenyang to Dalian. Some trains still have tickets available for the pre-holiday travel from September 29th to October 1st and the post-holiday peak travel period from October 6th to 8th, while tickets are relatively sufficient for the mid-holiday period from October 2nd to 5th in all directions.
It is reported that the national railway will implement a peak operation schedule, coordinate high-speed and conventional train resources, plan to operate over 12,000 passenger trains daily, and add over 360 direct passenger trains between different railway bureaus. By dynamically analyzing the pre-sale tickets and standby ticket purchasing big data on the railway's official website, timely understanding passenger travel demands, and taking measures such as running additional temporary passenger trains, coupling additional carriages for high-speed sleeper trains, and increasing capacity for popular regions, routes, and time periods, night high-speed trains will be operated and mid-short-distance passenger trains will be added in a timely manner by local railway departments to satisfy passenger holiday travel demands to the greatest extent. Actively adapting to market demands, special tourist trains will be operated in collaboration with scenic spots and hotels, creating new tourism consumption scenarios and promoting holiday tourism economic development. Continuing to operate non-profit "slow trains" and rural revitalization trains to facilitate local residents' travel.
