According to statistics from the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, in August 2024, the total turnover of China's foreign exchange market (excluding foreign currency pairs market) was 26.94 trillion yuan (equivalent to 3.78 trillion US dollars). Among them, the bank-customer market turnover was 3.40 trillion yuan (equivalent to 0.48 trillion US dollars), and the interbank market turnover was 23.54 trillion yuan (equivalent to 3.30 trillion US dollars); the spot market had a cumulative turnover of 9.88 trillion yuan (equivalent to 1.39 trillion US dollars), and the derivatives market had a cumulative turnover of 17.06 trillion yuan (equivalent to 2.39 trillion US dollars).
