Recently, RoboSenseROBOSENSE (02498) was invited to participate in the 2024 Mobility Intelligence Dialogue conference organized by S&P Global Mobility. At the event, S&P Global Mobility predicted that in the next decade, the prospects for autonomous driving are vast, and Chinese companies will maintain a dominant position in the global LiDAR market. RoboSenseROBOSENSE is expected to maintain industry-leading position with a market share of over 30% in this cycle.
S&P Global Mobility is a research institution under S&P Global focused on the automotive industry. The 2024 Mobility Intelligence Dialogue series of conferences were held in early September 2024 in Shanghai, Beijing, Chongqing, and Shenzhen, discussing topics such as the prospects of the Chinese automotive market, electric trends in China, Europe, the US, and other regions, and trends in autonomous driving with representatives from the domestic and international automotive industry.
At the Beijing event where RoboSenseROBOSENSE was invited, analysts from S&P Global Mobility and outstanding representatives from the domestic and international automotive industry gathered to discuss various hot topics in the automotive industry from dimensions such as electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles, and light vehicles. In a special discussion on "The New Ecology and Challenges of the Autonomous Driving Industry," industry experts including the General Manager of ROBOSENSE's global intelligent driving industry, Xu Yubin, the Chief Architect of Baidu's Autonomous Driving Business Group Zhu Fan, and the Vice President of Huixi Intelligent Company Liu Qi, focused on the development trends of Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) market and delved into discussions on aspects such as the acceptance of users, and future intelligent driving product planning.
S&P Global Mobility's latest data shows that in 2023, with the rapid development of ADAS and Robotaxi in the Chinese market, Chinese companies' LiDAR sales accounted for over 80% of global sales. By 2024, the market share of Chinese LiDAR companies is expected to exceed 90%. According to forecasts, RoboSense is expected to gain nearly 50% of the market share in the next three years and maintain the industry's leading position in the next decade.
In a statement at the conference, Xu Yubin said: "In the autonomous driving or Siasun Robot & Automation market, LiDAR has become a key and mature sensor, but from the perspective of the mass passenger car market, Lidar is still a relatively new component. In recent years, the overall development speed of the Chinese LiDAR industry has been very fast and has taken a leading position on a global scale. Currently, RoboSenseROBOSENSE's LiDAR shipments and overall revenue are at the forefront of the industry. With the leading technology and production advantages, Chinese companies will continue to play a leading role in the global expansion in the coming years."
As a leading company in the industry, RoboSenseROBOSENSE focuses on AI, chips, and hardware technology areas, providing sensors, solutions, and other products for the automotive and Siasun Robot & Automation sectors. It has established cooperative relationships with over 270 global car manufacturers and first-tier suppliers, and provided LiDAR products and solutions to about 2400 Siasun Robot & Automation and other industry customers.
In the first half of 2024, RoboSenseROBOSENSE achieved sustained high growth with total revenue reaching RMB 727 million, a year-on-year growth of approximately 121.0%, far exceeding global peers.
