According to data from Sigmaintell, the global tablet panel market shipped 126 million units in the first half of 2024, a decrease of about 2.7% compared to the same period last year. Detailed analysis is as follows:
1. Based on the increase in channel inventory and the high base of the same period last year, global tablet panel shipments in the first half of 2024 were approximately 126 million units, a decrease of about 2.7% year-on-year.
2. Analysis of the shipments of the top 5 manufacturers:
- Benefiting from strong channel capabilities and brand customers, BOE continues to lead the industry, with shipments of about 64.7 million units in the first half of the year, an increase of about 6.1% year-on-year, and market share breaking through 50%.
- With the release of T9 production line a-Si capacity and significant pull from the brand end, TCL Huaxing (CSOT) shipped about 6.7 million units in the first half of the year, a substantial increase year-on-year.
- With the new Apple products driving demand, LG Display (LGD) shipped about 12.9 million units in the first half of the year, an increase of about 23.7%, once again entering a growth trend.
- Impacted by weakened brand demand and high channel inventory, Taiwanese manufacturers Innolux and Hannstar had relatively sluggish shipments in the first half of the year. With subsequent adjustments to channel inventory, it is expected that shipments will gradually recover in the second half of the year.
