Australian financial software company Iress announced on Friday that it had previously considered a takeover offer from Blackstone and is currently in negotiations with the American investment company and private equity firm Thoma Bravo on a new acquisition proposal. The Australian company stated that Blackstone initially valued Iress at 1.94 billion Australian dollars, but later withdrew the offer without providing further details. "Iress is currently in early-stage discussions with Blackstone and Thoma Bravo to determine if a proposal can be made that the Iress board can recommend," the company said.
