The top five stocks in terms of gains were: Hiscox Insurance Company's stock price rose by 9.44%, precious metal producer Fresnillo's stock price rose by 8.88%, Diageo's stock price rose by 4.18%, BP's stock price rose by 3.09%, and London Stock Exchange Group's stock price rose by 3.02%. Consumer stocks led the declines among the component stocks of the London stock market on that day. The top five stocks in terms of declines were: Coca-Cola European Partners' stock price fell by 9.2%, Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company's stock price fell by 6.88%, Jardine Matheson's stock price fell by 5.41%, Reckitt Benckiser's stock price fell by 4.4%, and Pearson Group's stock price fell by 3.86%.
