"Pakistan security forces attacked, 4 killed"

Officials in Pakistan said on the 6th that a security forces convoy was attacked in the Karak area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, northwestern Pakistan, resulting in the deaths of 3 border soldiers and 1 driver. A local police official said that armed attackers opened fire on the convoy with small arms from a hilltop as it was traveling to the Karak area, killing 4 people in the vehicle. The bodies of the victims have been taken to a nearby hospital. After the attack, security forces and police cordoned off the area and conducted a search in the surrounding mountains to apprehend the attackers.
